Anita Vishen joined Hindu College as a teacher on Adhoc basis in 1987 and worked in the capacity of an Adhoc and Temporary teacher till she became permanent in 1991. She completed her M.Phil. from the University of Delhi in 1983. The topic of her M. Phil thesis was ‘Effect of Temperature & Intensity on the performance of MOS Solar Cells’.
She has published various papers in the areas of Solar Cells and the propagation of Electromagnetic waves in prestigious journals, including “IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques” and“Journal of Sound and Vibrations”.
An enthusiastic learner from the very beginning,she was awarded the Certificate of Distinction and the Gold Medal by the University of Kashmir for securing 1st position in order of merit in the BSc.(Final) examination and was also the recipient of the ‘Best graduate’ and the ‘Best Woman graduate’ of the Year
She has been involved with teaching of

She is currently the coordinator of the Environmental Sciences Course of the College. This Course is being offered as an Ability Enhancement Compulsory Course to the 1st year students of Undergraduate Studies.
She has been a member of the Committee of Courses of the Department of Physics & Astrophysics, University of Delhi and was involved with the Curriculum Development several times.
Over the years she has contributedimmensely to the corporate life of the College having served on almost every Staff Council Committee several times. Significant amongst them are the Extra Curricular Activities Committee, Time Table, Attendance and Prospectus Committee, Academic Affairs and Research Committee and Central Admission Committee. Currently as the Convener of the Time Table, Attendance and Prospectus Committee, she together with her production team, got the College Prospectus published and is responsible for the Time Table and the Attendance related matters of the College. She has served as the Chairperson of College Complaints Committee against Sexual Harassment several times and has been the Chairperson of the Anti- Ragging Committee of the College.
