Dr. Maneesha Pandey

Dr. Maneesha Pandey is an alumnus of Hindu college who acquired her B.A.(H) & M.A. degrees in Political Science from Hindu college. She then completed her M.Phil. degree from the Department of Political Science, Delhi University in 1989. She joined Hindu College as a teacher on a temporary post in 1992 and became permanent in 1996. She completed her Ph.D. from University of Delhi in the year 2005. She was awarded Ph.D. degree on her thesis titled “Environmental Policies and issues in South Asia: Comparative study of India, Nepal and Bangladesh” submitted under the supervision of Prof. Subrata Mukhrerji. Over the years she has taught diverse papers such as Public Administration, Comparative Government & Politics to the Honours students and Disaster Management to the students of other subjects. She has written two chapters in edited books published by Gnanda Prakashan and Orient Longman. She has been actively organizing several academic events like seminars and lectures in the department and in the college. She has also been the convener of Gandhi Study Circle, Hindu College that organizes academic programmes on Gandhi on regular basis. She has been involved in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities in the Department and in the College while working in various capacities such as Speaker of Hindu College Parliament, as a member of Academic Affairs committee and Central Admission Committee etc.
