Area of Interest.

    Entomology (Insect Behaviour; Integrated Pest Mangement)

    Dr. Anupam V. Sharma was conferred her Doctorate of Philosophy by the University of Delhi on 14th March 1999, for her thesis entitled “Certain Aspects of the Behavioural Responses of Maize Stem Borer, Chilo partellus (Swinhoe) towards maize cultivars in relation to their susceptibility and resistance” (submitted in June 1998). She had been teaching since August 1998 in ad-hoc temporary positions in different colleges (including Hindu) of DU until she became permanent in Jan. 2006. She has also worked as a Research Associate from Nov.1999- Jan. 2001, Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi.

    1. Research activities and publication:
      Dr Anupam V. Sharma has been regularly associated with the research activities in the college, though on a small scale during the DBT-Star College project in 2013-14, and 2014-15.
      • Project Supervisor, Entomology Module “Bioefficacy of Neem Seed Kernel Exract (NSKE) in disrupting growth and development of the red cotton bug, Dysdercus koenigii (Hemiptera: Pyrrochoridae)” in DBT STAR COLLEGE PROJECT 2013-14.
      • Project Supervisor, Entomology Module “Biological activity of Tea Leaf Exract against the red cotton bug, Dysdercus koenigii (Hemiptera: Pyrrochoridae)” in DBT STAR COLLEGE PROJECT 2014-15.
