Dr. Anupam V. Sharma has been teaching in University of Delhi since August 1998 on ad-hoc/temporary positions before becoming permanent in Hindu College in January, 2006. She was conferred her Doctorate of Philosophy by the University of Delhi in 1999, for her thesis entitled “Certain Aspects of the Behavioural Responses of Maize Stem Borer, Chilo partellus (Swinhoe) towards maize cultivars in relation to their susceptibility and resistance”.
Post-doctoral Research Associateship: Nov.1999- Jan. 2001, Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi.
She has taught the following papers to B.Sc. and M.Sc. students: Non-Chordata, Comparative Anatomy of Chordates, Physiology, Ecology, Animal Behaviour, Basic Entomology, and Biostatistics. Recently, one of her students has successfully completed the Doctoral studies under her joint supervision, from the Department of Zoology, University of Delhi, in December, 2015.
No. of Ph.D. scholars co-supervised: 1 Thesis submitted in July 2015; Viva completed in Dec. 2015.

Dr. Sharma has participated in a number of National and International Conferences and has three research publications in peer-reviewed journals (2 international). She has also authored a chapter on “Termites and their Control Measures” in the e-book on Applied Entomology as part of the NSDL project, NISCAIR, Delhi.
