संस्कृत विभाग DEPARTMENT OF SANSKRIT

हिंदू कॉलेज न केवल देश के सबसे प्रतिष्ठित शैक्षणिक संस्थानों में से एक है, बल्कि यह संस्कृत भाषा और साहित्य के अध्ययन के लिए छात्रों की पहली पसंद भी है। छात्र, उत्तर पूर्व, उत्तराखंड, पंजाब, बिहार और देश के अन्य राज्यों से आते हैं। शिक्षा का माध्यम त्रिभाषा सूत्र-हिन्दी, संस्कृत, अंग्रेजी है। विभाग में स्नातक और स्नातकोत्तर स्तर पर एक सौ तीस से अधिक छात्र नामांकित हैं। विभाग में प्रतिभाशाली और निपुण संकाय सदस्य हैं। उनकी उच्च स्तर की शैक्षणिक और व्यावसायिक दक्षता उनके सराहनीय शैक्षणिक कार्यों का परिणाम है। विभाग अंतर्विषयक पाठ्यक्रम भी प्रदान करता है।

छात्रों को टिप्पणियों और अन्य आधुनिक दृष्टिकोणों के माध्यम से आलोचनात्मक विश्लेषण से परिचित कराया जाता है। शिक्षक, आधुनिक दृष्टिकोण से ग्रंथों की व्याख्या करने में रुचि रखते हैं और संस्कृत के अध्ययन के लिए वैज्ञानिक दृष्टिकोण विकसित करने के उनके प्रयासों को दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय की एक नवाचार परियोजना के रूप में सफल हुआ है। वनस्पति विज्ञान विभाग के साथ मिलकर संस्कृत विभाग के शिक्षकों और छात्रों ने एक संस्कृत कवि द्वारा वनस्पतियों के वर्णन पर काम किया और इसे वैज्ञानिक व्याख्या दी।

विभागीय सोसायटी, 'के' और 'संहिता-द लैंग्वेज, लिटरेचर एंड कल्चरल सोसाइटी', अकादमिक चर्चाओं के लिए प्रख्यात विद्वानों को आमंत्रित करती हैं। हम प्रश्नोत्तरी प्रतियोगिताएं, सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम आदि भी आयोजित करते हैं।

विभाग ने छात्रों के लाभ के लिए सबसे उपयोगी पुस्तकों के साथ अपना स्वयं का पुस्‍तकालय शुरू किया। हमारा प्रयास छात्रों को गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षा प्रदान करना है। यह आशा की जाती है कि विभाग में शामिल होने वाले छात्र कॉलेज में अपने प्रवास के दौरान अपनी पढ़ाई के लिए खुद को सबसे अनुकूल माहौल में पाएंगे।

Hindu College is not only one of the most distinguished undergraduate educational institutions of the country, it is also the first choice of the students for the study of Sanskrit language and literature. Students come from North East, Uttrakhand, Punjab, Bihar and other states of the country. The medium of instruction is the Tri language formula-Hindi, Sanskrit, English. More than one hundred and thirty students are enrolled at the graduate and post graduate levels in the Department. The Department has talented and accomplished faculty members. Their high degree of academic and professional proficiency is a result of their commendable academic work.The Department also offers Interdisciplinary courses..

The students are introduced to critical analysis through commentaries and other modern approaches. The teachers are interested in interpreting texts from modern point of view and their endeavours, to inculcate a scientific approach to the study of Sanskrit, have borne fruits in the form of an innovation project of the University of Delhi. Together with the Botany Department the teachers and students of the Sanskrit Department worked on the description of flora by a Sanskrit poet giving it a scientific interpretation.

The Departmental societies, ‘    k’ and ‘SAMHITA-The Language, Literature and Cultural Society’,                                                                                    invite eminent scholars for Academic discussions. We also organize quiz competitions, cultural programmes etc.                                                                            

 The Department has initiated its own library with most useful books for the benefit of the students. Ourendeavour is to impart quality instruction to the students. It is hoped that the students joining the Department, will find themselves in the most congenial atmosphere, for their studies, throughout their stay in college.
