180 Degrees Consulting is a global consulting organisation that aims to spread social impact through high-achieving students dedicated to creating positive societal change. Founded in 2020, our branch at Hindu College aims to bring global experience to the students and maximise the use of available resources to make a meaningful impact. At 180 Degrees Consulting, Hindu College, our primary objective is to assemble the brightest minds within the institution to provide low-cost consulting services to socially conscious groups. Simultaneously, we strive to foster an environment that encourages student involvement and empowers them to create significant social effects. Our society offers clients various services, including market and policy research, social impact evaluations, data analysis, fundraising and financial planning, organisational strategising, partnership and outreach, and more. Through these services, we aim to assist socially conscious groups in overcoming their challenges and achieving their objectives. Since our establishment, we have completed over twenty projects, consulting companies and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) from different countries like Malaysia, Edinburgh, Lebanon, Indonesia, etc. As an exclusive society, we have implemented a rigorous selection process to ensure that we recruit the most qualified students. This process involves multiple rounds of evaluations to assess their skills and capabilities. Once selected, our members undergo comprehensive training in consulting, equipping them with the skills needed to play a pivotal role in advising our clients effectively. The various organisations can attest to this as our alums are associated with McKinsey, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Bain & Company, Barclays, Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta, London School of Economics (LSE), Deloitte, PwC, Red Seer, Gartner, etc. We take pride in fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment within our society. We maintain informal relationships with all our members, ensuring everyone feels valued and comfortable expressing their thoughts and ideas freely. We highly appreciate honesty and constructive criticism, as we believe in continuous improvement for ourselves and all those involved. We create a supportive community that fosters personal and professional growth by encouraging open communication. Furthermore, we have established valuable partnerships with esteemed organisations such as IIM Bangalore, the American University of Beirut in Lebanon, MDI Gurgaon, The Consulting & Strategy Club of IIM Lucknow, Total Solutions Group, and Trariti Consulting Group. These alliances enable us to access additional resources, expertise, and networking opportunities, strengthening our ability to deliver impactful consulting services. Additionally, we are honoured to have mentors from prestigious organisations such as BCG, New Habitat Housing Finance and Development Ltd., PwC, EY, and IIM Bangalore, among many others. Their guidance and expertise provide invaluable support to our members, enabling them to gain insights from experienced professionals in the field.
