Activities at a glance

Even when the world was quarantined due to pandemic, the society had the privilege of organizing as well as participating in several events held across the country with the help of virtual modes including Mood Indigo, annual fest of IIT Bombay, Keshav Mahavidalaya and VIT University. We had rendered our services for enriching the prestige and pride of the society and organized the annual events of society i.e., Lasya and Arangam under Aramya – The annual cultural festival and Izhar-e-raqs 2.0, a speaker session with eminent personalities of dance and art field.

Post-pandemic, Adhrita had started its 2022 year with throbbing performance at Ugaadi,a graceful classical production at Abhivyakti and delivered more than 20 performances in collaboration with various organizations and societies such as WEF-2022 Women Economic Forum, HPAIR ACONF INDIA 2022, IIITD ,Delhi and recently On 31st March 2023, Adhrita had also performed at “Vasudhaiv kutumbukam G20: one earth one family one future” organized by Ramanujan college and Bahai house of worship, Lotus temple and many more.

The Society conducted the re-auditions of more than 50+ dance enthusiasts for batch 2023 and 2024 at Relaxo research centre, Hindu college. In this session with an ever-growing repertoire of awards and performances, we had tried to explore the intricate realms of our traditional dances with inclusivity and authenticity in mind, the aim to re-attach youth to our traditional dance roots.

We have performed our new annual folk production called “Devarattam “choreographed by Mr. Sabin Sukesh at various stages and bagged first place at SRCC and second place at JMC. The society also organized its annual event of Lasya and Arangam that comes under Aramya, the annual dance fest of the college along with the other two societies with a new vision and version. In the upcoming years we aim to compete in various competitions and organize events and hope to continue its legacy in novel ways. Adhrita takes pride in being the flag bearer of Indian tradition and culture, maintaining its purity and piousness in 21st century. These are just the milestone; the best is yet to come.
